Time Magazine Declared Inflammation To Be "The Secret Killer"

These are just a few of the illnesses that research shows may result from prolonged or chronic inflammation:

1. Alzheimer's disease.
Chronic inflammation is known to possibly play a role in the destruction of brain cells involved in memory.

2. Heart disease.
The leading cause of death in America has been linked to chronic inflammation, which damages blood vessels and contributes to plaque formation.

3. Arthritis.
There are many forms of arthritis, but they all have one thing in common... inflammation in and around the joints.

4. Diabetes.
Chronic inflammation can both be an underlying cause and a long-term consequence of the elevated blood sugar seen in diabetes.
